My Motto: What's yes if you can't say no? What's no if you know no better?
Hi, I'm Kendal. I was born and raised in New Jersey and lived in Washington D.C. for a year and a half, where I studied theatre arts acting at Howard University. I moved to New York city and stayed for five years while working for the Nielsen company and attending undergrad at The School Of Visual Arts, where I attained my bachelor's degree in screenwriting. After graduating, I moved to Singapore to study dramatic writing at New York University: Tisch Asia, where I am currently pursuing my Master's degree.
I come from a family of educators. My mother, father and stepmother have taught at various points in their careers. I believe that informing and educationally nurturing those who come after you is just as important as any step one would take in bettering his or herself, regardless of the endeavor. Teaching is an art form that fortifies the future by building on the past. Yes, we time travel at Hess Education Center, where the present is always the past and our children are forever growing stronger as the light and faces of tomorrow.
To say that I'm lucky to be a part of this team of amazing teachers and amongst various tools and proven ways of reaching the minds of our children would be a gross understatement. With that said, I am extremely lucky to be here.
